Contractor FAQ

Canopy sells protected access to homeowner opportunities in your ZIP territory — exclusive mailed campaign pieces plus a guaranteed engagement floor. We control acquisition and mail quality. You control estimating, follow-up, pricing, and closing. We do not guarantee jobs, contact-captures, or estimate-requests.

1. What counts as a Canopy opportunity?

A Canopy pack delivers exclusive mailed opportunities in your assigned ZIP territory, plus a guaranteed engagement floor measured as unique QR scans on campaign cards (each URL carries a lead_id).

Steady pack ($1,500): 10 exclusive mailed opportunities + guaranteed engagement. Launch / Jumpstart month 1 ($1,500): 20 mailed + guaranteed engagement, then steady 10 mailed + guaranteed engagement at $1,500. Introductory pricing — may change with 30 days notice. Negotiation floor remains available (ask Tyler); we do not headline it aggressively.

We qualify for territory, product-type match, and contractor-branded mail with attributable QR. We do not claim a response-rate percentage, confirmed budget, or that every mailed home will call or request an estimate. We do not promise 10 homeowner contact-captures or estimate-requests.

2. How are opportunities generated?

We identify likely-fit homes from publicly available property information, create a personalized visualisation of a patio cover on that property (matched to your product line), and mail contractor-branded creative with a unique QR (lead_id in the URL). Pack delivery is the mailed count in your territory plus logged QR engagements until the pack floor is met.

3. Are opportunities really exclusive?

An opportunity generated inside your assigned territory goes only to you. Period. We do not resell opportunities.

We cannot stop other companies’ ads from reaching the same homeowner. We only control Canopy’s inventory.

4. How does territory exclusivity work?

You get a named ZIP code cluster of typically ~5 ZIP codes. Every ZIP in the cluster must touch at least one other in that pack (one contiguous territory — no cherry-picking scattered ZIPs). While your pack is active, Canopy will not sell patio-cover opportunities from those ZIPs to any other contractor. Neighboring ZIPs outside your cluster can go to someone else. Want more lead-pack territory? +$500/mo for each additional contiguous cluster of ~5 ZIP codes (unsold inventory only; mailed count stays on the base pack unless you also buy a higher lead tier). After cancel, territory releases 30 days after your last paid pack ends.

Wishlist ≠ reservation. Preferred ZIPs you pick at onboarding are preferences only — they do not reserve territory or guarantee availability. Sold packs still follow the contiguous ~5 ZIP rule.

5. What if you don’t deliver the pack?

$1,500 purchases 10 exclusive mailed opportunities + guaranteed engagement (inventory). The next pack does not bill until those 10 are mailed and guaranteed engagement is delivered. If engagement has not landed yet, the next pack does not bill — we keep working the current pack (make-up mail / retools). If nothing engages within 90 days of the first drop, we terminate for your benefit; you keep what was already mailed. Launch pack: $1,500 for 20 mailed + guaranteed engagement, then steady at 10 mailed + guaranteed engagement per $1,500.

6. What if a mailed piece is invalid?

Replaced and not counted if claimed quickly: bad/undeliverable address, duplicate, outside territory, clear non-owner who declines, or consent / stop-mail void. Not replaced for “didn’t buy,” “didn’t call,” or ghosted after a real conversation. Invalid-mail replacements for bad addresses remain standard.

7–9. Resell / contract / billing

10–12. Speed, payload, product types

15–18. Consent, brand, jobs
